Celebrating One Year of Luna the Little Photographer

2 min read

For a long time, I wanted to write a book. I had ideas and the desire to create something special, but I had no idea where to start. How do you take a story in your heart and turn it into a book someone can actually hold?

One day, I decided to start figuring it out. I researched, learned, and worked through things I had never done before. It took time, and there were plenty of moments when I felt unsure. But little by little, Luna the Little Photographer was born.

Now, I’m celebrating one year since my very first book became available, and that still feels amazing to say.

Luna holds such a special place in my heart. I created her with my niece in mind, giving her a resemblance that makes this story even more meaningful to me. And, of course, Luna is a little photographer. As a photographer myself, I loved bringing that part of my life into a children’s book.

In so many ways, this book carries a piece of my family, my creativity, and the work I love.

Over the past year, Luna has also received a new cover. Seeing her with a fresh look has been exciting, but what means the most is knowing that she has found her way into so many homes. I’ve sold more copies of Luna than any other book I’ve written. For the book that started it all, that is such a beautiful blessing.

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to create, for helping me keep going while I was learning, and for every person who has supported this journey. Every purchase, recommendation, and kind word means so much to me.

If you’ve ever wanted to create something but felt unsure where to begin, I hope Luna’s story encourages you to take that first step. I didn’t have everything figured out when I started. I simply began, and I kept learning along the way.

Thank you for being part of Luna’s first year. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or are just discovering her, I’m so grateful to share my very first book with you.

Bring Luna home for the little reader in your life.

With gratitude,

Belén Larios
